Careers Expo 2017

After the success of last year’s event, we are again seeking Old Guildfordians that can mentor the kids at the Careers Expo, located in Guildford Grammar School’s Senior Gym, starting at 2.00pm on Wednesday, 26 July. With the support of our wider Old Guildfordian community, we hope to cover a large variety of industries and professions, and this will give our students the best possible opportunity to make informed career choices as they take those first steps into adulthood. To enable Old Guildfordians to share their career experiences, they will be seated at tables and will be approached by students to have an informal conversation. Universities and other tertiary education providers have also been invited to attend, allowing students to investigate relevant courses and apprenticeships. 

At the conclusion of the expo, mentors are invited to a special networking function where drinks and nibbles will be provided. Following this a bus tour of the School will be available for those that are interested. 

Schedule - Careers Expo - Senior Gym on Wednesday, 26 July
2.00pm – Mentors arrive for briefing and group photo
2.20pm – Expo opens and students begin to arrive
4.30pm – Expo concludes and mentors are invited to a networking function
5.30pm – A bus tour of the School will be available for any interested mentors (approximately 1 hour)

Head and Shoulders Photo
Please note that mentors will be required to provide a head and shoulders photograph for the expo’s brochure, along with some information about their work experience.
