Careers Expo 2016

This year’s Careers Expo will be bigger than ever and we seek as many career mentors as we can find for Wednesday, 27 July, starting at 2.05pm in the Senior Gym. At this event Old Guildfordians are encouraged to share their life experiences with Guildford Grammar School kids. With the support of our wider Old Guildfordian community, we hope to cover a large variety of industries and professions, and this will give our students the best possible opportunity to make informed career choices as they take those first steps into adulthood. Old Guildfordians will be seated on tables and will be approached by students to have an informal conversation. Universities and other tertiary education providers have also been invited to attend, allowing students to investigate relevant courses and apprenticeships.
Please note that, in a change from previous years, students will be brought to the expo in special class dedicated to the expo, so we need plenty of mentors to handle the higher number of students.

At the conclusion of the expo, mentors are invited to take a tour of the School at 5.00pm, and to stay for complimentary dinner with the boarders at 6.00pm.

Schedule - Careers Expo - Senior Gym on Wednesday, 27 July
2.05pm – Mentors arrive for briefing and group photo
2.25pm – Expo opens and students begin to arrive
5.00pm – Expo concludes and mentors are invited to take a tour of the School
6.00pm – Mentors are invited to enjoy a complimentary dinner with the boarders in the Dining Hall
