Annual General Meeting 2016

Notice of AGM
Notice is hereby given of the Annual General Meeting at 7.30pm Wednesday 26 October 2016, in the Foundation Pavilion, Guildford Grammar School.

Elections for the following will be held:
(1) Treasurer
(2) Committee Members

The following amendments have been proposed:

Motion 1: 
That: 
1. Rule 32 be amended by the deletion of the word SPORTING in the section heading, and also removal of “Sporting” & ‘sporting” wherever either of those appear within; the entirety of Section 32, and
2. The definition within section 2(1) and the reference within rule 14(1)(g) be similarly amended with deletions of that same word.

Motion 2:
That Rule 14(1) be amended with the wording “With the exceptions of the Associate representative, the Headmaster and the Affiliated Sporting Club nominees all Management Committee Members shall be Members” be altered to “With the exceptions of the Associate representative, the Headmaster and the Affiliated Club nominees all Management Committee Members shall be Members”.

Motion 3:
That Rule 14(5A) be amended with the wording “Treasury and Sporting Club delegates” being altered to “Treasurer, Web Master and Affiliated Club delegates”

Motion 4:
That Rule 21(2)(iii) be amended with the wording “within 4 months of the close of the previous accounting period” being altered to “within 6 months of the close of the previous accounting period”.

Motion 5:
That Rule 25(1)(b)(iii) be amended with the wording “an Annual General Meeting must be held in every calendar year within 4 months after the end of the Association’s financial year” be altered to “an Annual General Meeting must be held in every calendar year within 6 months after the end of the Association’s financial year”.

Motion 6:
That Rule 25(4)(c) be amended with the wording “in the case of nominations being received pursuant to Rule 14(9) for the offices of President, Secretary or Treasurer” be altered to “in the case of nominations being received pursuant to Rule 14(9) for the offices of President, Secretary, Treasurer or Web Master”.

Nominations - Treasurer
Nominations (in writing) for the position of Treasurer must be received by 7.30pm on 14 September 2016. Nominations have now closed.
